Im actually not suprised that some people took the aniciative to actually learn. Im also not suprised that these women wanted to dream and get away from reality. I think it's wonderful to have people near you during a hard time, take an interest in the same things you do.
In another vidoe I viewed, an elderly man who was a liberator in the war, James Hayes, discusses the last 10 days of the German's fighting until they surrendered. He describes what he saw; The multiple casualties he knew were going to lead to a much larger spread of disease. He knew that the bodies had to be taken out of the area.
