Evolutionism vs. Religion

During the 1930's, it was illegal to teach evolutionism. I believe that religion should not be taught in schools. I think Scopes had the right idea to teach Evolutionism instead of it. To me, with the way some kids minds "take over" schools today, talking about religion would be a 'touchy-subject' for a few people. I believe talking about evolutionism is a good way to learn about it. It is science! We learn about science everyday in school. I think handling information based on religion could make classmates think the wrong way. On the other hand, I do think it would benefit in the long run because every religion, race, ethnicity, whatever you want to call it, are learning the same facts and gaining information about something new from different religions.
